Isolation blues? Keep Calm and Get Creative with Modern Fabrics

Isolation can make a person feel like they’re going little nuts. Anyone out there holla?! It’s so important to find constructive ways to fill our time and focus our energy. Modern Fabrics has contributed to bringing beauty to the madness with generous donations to make masks during the Covid-19 crisis. Ewa partnered with Emma Newell of Defined Designs and to date has created hundreds of masks to send to hospitals, health care workers and friends, and family all over the nation.

From Pillows to PPE

Emma has temporarily flipped her pillow shop to make and provide masks to nurses and healthcare workers during the coronavirus outbreak.

“To date, I have shipped about 700 masks and counting, and am providing to over 22 hospitals in hotspot areas like NYC, NJ, DE, MA and areas local to CLT, NC. I am accepting donations to help support supplies and shipping care packages. Anything helps and I am personally so grateful for your support of this project. Stay safe!”

The stay-at-home order has just been extended another two weeks, and we don’t know how long we will need to keep social distancing, nor how long we will need to wear protective gear.
